LAS VEGAS – Seemingly moments after leaving the Sunshine state last month, Medtrade organizers turned their attention to Las Vegas in preparation for Medtrade Spring, set for March 10-12, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
“We are pouring through the conference reviews in an effort to fine tune the show for those making plans to meet us in the Nevada desert five months from now,” says Kevin Gaffney, group show director, Medtrade. “We will keep what worked, get rid of anything that did not work, and fine tune any elements that might need improvement.”
One feature that did work in Orlando, Fla, was the 6-4-18 Series. Specifically designed to provide six building blocks for success in the next eighteen months, the six sessions taught attendees about: effective collections; purchasing and cash flow management; reducing risk; diversification and operational efficiencies; and leading transformation in the business.
At last month’s Medtrade, these presentations were included with a conference pass, but Medtrade Spring will offer a new, value-added twist. “6-4-18 is going to be open to all attendees via a learning lab on the show floor, at least that is the plan,” says Gaffney. “Even if these sessions had to be moved to a room, they would still be open to all.”
Co-Locating with DMGCME
The March 2014 program of Dillehay Management Group Continuing Medical Education (DMGCME) will be “co-locating” with Medtrade Spring (scheduled for March-12) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Several hundred people from the DMGCME meeting—including physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, and respiratory therapists—will participate in the Medtrade show.
“For Medtrade, they would have some additional qualified buyers on the show floor,” says Charles B. Dillehay, MBA, CAE, president, DMGCME (www.dmgcme.com). “We would provide several hours of exclusive time to our convention attendees to see those products and services offered on the Medtrade show floor.”
