Submitting PowerPoint Presentations

Your speaker agreement includes submitting your presentation to Medtrade management prior to the show. Conference attendees are eager to prepare for your session and will be looking for the PowerPoint. Please follow these guidelines and submit your presentation by Friday, October 13 to The required template can be downloaded here.

Attendee registration is in full swing, and while you are promoting your presence as a speaker at Medtrade, here are some useful social media tips. View these social media tips for speakers.

Speaker Ready Room

The Speaker Ready room is available for your use, Room:C206 October 23-25. This room will be set with tables and audiovisual equipment. You may use this room to meet with co-presenters, review your slides or to relax. Coffee/Water service and light snacks will be available (for speakers only).


It is very important to stop by the “Speaker Ready” room C206 to pick up your badge, check-in and receive conference registration materials. Plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to your session in order to allow time for check-in and familiarization with your session room.

Audiovisual and Session Rooms

Remember the standard set in each room will include LCD projector, appropriate number of microphones and screen. Speakers should bring their own laptop. You or your sponsor can rent additional audiovisual equipment from SmartSource Rentals by calling 800-955-5171 or emailing Zenobia Young: We have revised the upcoming 2017 conference program to a format that we believe will be much more cohesive for learning key elements of success in the HME industry. The reformatted Medtrade sessions will be formatted as free-flowing and interactive. Although a few sessions will be the standard “standing behind a lectern” classroom format, a good portion of this year’s sessions will move towards a town hall/panel format. Each town hall presentation will be presented by two or more “discussion leaders” and will mimic a talk-show look and feel, thereby allowing the discussion leaders the option to facilitate an interactive presentation either standing or sitting.

There will be a stage on risers or podium as deemed appropriate for the session format; however, the audio visual portion will remain (i.e. wireless lav microphone or handheld microphone and LCD projector/screen). Plesae keep in mind, attendees do not register for an individual session; therefore, there is not a precise count on the number of attendees for your session. However, on average the number of attendees per session ranges between 50 to 100+ attendees.

Company Brochures and Additional Speakers

Brochures and flyers that address a particular company or product are not permitted in the educational sessions. All speakers have been pre-approved by the Medtrade Educational Advisory Board. Therefore, as an approved presenter you are not permitted to add additional speakers to your session at this time.
