LAS VEGAS – Sponsored by Laboratory Tactical Consulting, Strategic A/R and Wheel:Life, the inaugural HME Breakfast Club was a great way to start the day and get inspired by a speech from Pamela Kaehler (pictured), executive director of Fairmont Home Equipment & Supply Company, Fairmont, WV.
As an HME veteran, mother of several foster children, and a wife, Kaehler shared her wisdom about the challenges of juggling modern life. Kaehler reminded us that when challenges make it difficult to do your job, remember the certainty of your mission. “Be confident, and be tenacious,” she said. “Surround yourself with like-minded professionals who will help you.”
Kaehler is a voracious reader of non-fiction books that are mostly about organizational strategies, and she puts these publications to good use. “If I find challenges, then I am in part responsible for contributing to the solutions,” said Kaehler, president of the West Virginia Medical Equipment Suppliers Association, and a member of the AAHomecare Regulatory Council, in a previous I Am the HME Industry feature. “I feel it’s my responsibility to get involved…Everybody brings something unique to the table that can serve the cause.”
The Audit Happy Hour, sponsored by ACU-Serve, also made its debut at Medtrade Spring two weeks ago. The reception proved to be a great place for attendees to unwind and discuss those troublesome audits.
Audit Happy Hour was a chance to meet with experts at a relaxed networking reception, while also enjoying a few beverages.
