VGM Launches Respiratory Program

March 17, 2018

LAS VEGAS – VGM Group Inc has formed VGM Respiratory, a new program specifically for providers of respiratory equipment. VGM represenatives will be on hand next week at Medtrade Spring in Las Vegas to discuss specifics with show attendees.

VGM Respiratory is under the direction of Dave Lyman, BA, RRT-SDS. The program is available to VGM members and offers additional resources and vendor programs to support those offering respiratory products and services.

“This is an exciting opportunity to share my experience and passion for the respiratory market,” said Lyman, vice president of VGM Respiratory. “Approximately 70 percent of VGM’s members are offering respiratory. Through VGM Respiratory, I look forward to connecting this community to a number of new resources and a matrix of vendor partners, further strengthening the programs available to our members.”

Lyman has categorized respiratory DME into nine product categories or “classes.” Each class will include its own set of tools and resources, which include educational webinars and CEUs, patient education materials, profitability calculators, and vendor programs with leading suppliers in the respiratory equipment industry, to name a few.

Having started his career as a respiratory therapist at the Cleveland Clinic, Lyman has more than 20 years of experience in the DME industry. He also serves on multiple committees dedicated to patient outcomes and care, experience that Clint Geffert, president of VGM & Associates, says is imperative when developing a new membership community.

“Dave’s experience as a respiratory therapist coupled with his knowledge of clinical, operations, billing, management, and sales in the DME industry has been instrumental in building this program,” stated Geffert. “He has used his vast experience to create a robust respiratory offering that providers can use to enhance their existing business model or diversify into another, which is imperative in today’s environment.”

With the launch of VGM Respiratory, Lyman is eager to meet with providers at Medtrade Spring and elsewhere to discuss ways membership can benefit their business. “I look forward to spending more time learning about our members’ practices to see how our team can impact them in a positive manner,” said Lyman. “I’ll be at Medtrade Spring in Las Vegas, and we’re finalizing a respiratory-specific education track for VGM’s annual Heartland Conference.”
