ATLANTA – When Molly A. Dye saw caregivers struggling to change her mother’s adult briefs, an idea took root. “The caregiver was rolling her on the bed, and I watched my mother grimace, not from pain, but from indignity,” says Dye, inventor/founder of Atlanta-based CareZips (Emerging Company Pavilion at Medtrade). “And the caregiver was straining. The idea went from my brain, to my sewing machine, to prototypes.”
With the help of a manufacturing firm called MDF Designs LLC, Dye made her vision a reality. “The pants I invented have three strategic zippers that open frontally,” explains Dye. “A three-minute video on our Web site [www.carezips.com] illustrates the process.”
Dye will be showing her product to attendees at Medtrade, scheduled for Oct 20-23 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. It will be CareZips’ first trip to the nation’s premiere HME trade show. “Medtrade was highly recommended by three different entities in the Atlanta community,” says Dye. “Medtrade is the leading venue to showcase new products, new ideas, and new opportunities. Attendees will find that my product is not comparable to anything else in the U.S.”
The product, which retails for around $40, will join many other retail cash opportunities at Medtrade. Providers who wish to register for Medtrade should CLICK HERE.
