ORLANDO, FL – Regular Medtrade attendees are used to booking flights to Atlanta in the Fall, but this year is different. When the 5-year Atlanta contracts expire, Nielsen Expositions takes a survey to determine where HME providers want to go next.
The Sunshine State won the most votes in Nielsen’s latest survey, so Medtrade will meet from October 8-10, 2013, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla. “In 2014, we will return to the familiar confines of Atlanta,” confirms Kevin Gaffney, group show director (pictured), Medtrade. “However, this is a great opportunity to enjoy sunny Florida and experience the wonderful city of Orlando during an incredibly important time for the industry.”
Much will be known about the fate of national competitive bidding by the time the show roles around in early October. The market pricing program (MPP) may be awaiting implementation by then, or a delay may be in effect.
“And if competitive bidding is still with us, Medtrade Orlando will be the crucial place where providers can go to figure out how to survive and thrive,” says Gaffney. “Certainly if MPP has won the day, our experts will be here to explain what it means and what providers should be doing next.”
Registration for Medtrade 2013 will open in early June 2013. Prospective attendees can enter contact info here. Nielsen will send a reminder when it is time to save money by taking advantage of early bird rates.
Medtrade 2013 takes place October 7-10 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla.
