LAS VEGAS – Every day, 10,000 baby boomers hit 65 years of age. Shahar Boyayan knows that you’ve heard the statistics ad nauseum, but do you know the “new rules” for marketing to this influential group? Shahar (pictured, left) and her daughter, Nashlah, founders of Utah-based BuzzBooster Media, will explore the topic at Medtrade Spring at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, during their presentation:
Boomerology Revealed- New Rules for Marketing to America’s Largest, Wealthiest and Most Influential Group—Baby Boomers
DAY AND TIME: Monday, March 30, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
WHERE: South Pacific B
TRACK: Sales and Marketing
SPEAKERS: Shahar and Nashlah Boyayan, founders of Buzz Booster, a mother-daughter operated digital media company based in Utah
“Baby boomers are not getting any younger,” says Shahar. “Since boomers want to live forever, they are conscious about their health, and consume more supplements than any other group…For businesses selling online, this means thinking outside the box when looking for keywords. The obvious is not what people search. They search for a solution to a problem according to their views. For example, instead of searching for a ‘bed rail’ for an aging parent, he/she might search for ‘stop falling out of bed.’”
When marketing to boomers, words matter a lot. They want innovation, an honest conversation, freedom, peace of mind, and are not so price conscious as their parents.
General registration is open for Medtrade Spring, scheduled for March 30-April 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Anyone who has any questions about the registration process should call: (877) 914-4677 (toll free) or (240) 439-2984 (International residents) between the hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST, or email: MedtradeSpring@Experient-Inc.com.
REMINDER: Medtrade Spring has a “friendlier format” this year, with the majority of sessions on Monday, March 30. This new format is specifically designed to minimize the overlap between Expo floor time and valuable educational sessions. With this in mind, it makes sense to arrive in Las Vegas on Sunday, March 29. Most of Tuesday, and all of Wednesday will be available to browse the Expo floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
