Moving the HME Industry Forward

AAHomecare: Your voice in Washington, D.C.

The American Association for Homecare (AAHomecare) works to preserve and strengthen access to care for the millions of Americans who require medical care in their homes.

AAHomecare represents healthcare providers, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations in the homecare community. AAHomecare members serve the medical needs of millions of Americans who require oxygen equipment and therapy, mobility assistive technologies, medical supplies, inhalation drug therapy, home infusion, and other home medical equipment, therapies, services, and supplies in the home. Membership reflects a broad cross-section of the homecare community, including providers of all sizes operating approximately 3,000 locations in all 50 states.

Whether it is a legislative issue being debated on Capitol Hill or a Medicare regulation being proposed by CMS, AAHomecare represents and fights for the interests of homecare companies that provide home medical equipment, products and supplies and the manufacturers whose customers supply those items to Medicare beneficiaries.

Stand Up for Homecare

Tuesday, October 24, 5:30-7:00 pm at the SKYLOUNGE
As AAHomecare continues to press the case for longer-term relief for rural and non-bid area providers, as well as for significant structural improvements to the competitive bidding program with Federal regulators, we are using every resource available. We have employed law firms, research firms, and public relations firms to aid in our fight on behalf of the HME community. We also continue to work closely with and support consumer advocacy groups like United Spinal Association, ITEM Coalition, the National Council on Independent Living, and Paralyzed Veterans of America – organizations that represent many of the patient groups we serve, and are also strong allies on legislative and regulatory priorities. These opportunities and initiatives are supported through monies raised at the Stand Up for Homecare reception held on the first evening of Medtrade.

Join us Tuesday, October 24 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the SKYLOUNGE for the Stand Up for Homecare reception. Your support will be appreciated by the entire HME community as monies raised will help move our industry forward in the pursuit of fairer policies. You can see information on individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities here, or purchase a ticket as part of your Medtrade registration.
