One Tip at Medtrade Could Generate Thousands of Dollars

by Don Dobbins • July 17, 2017

WICHITA FALLS, TX – Only 100 days (or so) until Medtrade. The show is scheduled for Oct 23-25, 2017, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, and if you have not committed yourself to going you may be making a huge mistake. After going to Medtrade and Medtrade Spring for several years now, I can say without a doubt it has helped to change the way we do business. From learning more about what we can do, should do, and should not do—to learning about moving toward more retailing in our business.

Back around 2011 we had a retail area in our store and were lucky if two or three people would come in on a daily basis. We had what I thought was a good retail/caretail showroom full of items for sale. Business was good for things going out the back door, but not so good for retail going out the front door. After attending my first Medtrade in 2011, we started the transition to more retail.

Fast forward to today and we have an average of 20 people coming in the front door on a daily basis. We went from one lift chair and no scooters to an average of 10 lift chairs and five scooters on the floor—and many other great retail items. By attending the Expo, you will find many great products to fill your shelves.
You will get selling tips on how to set up your showroom. You will get to mingle with vendors and other business owners just like yourself to see what is working for them and how to increase your business. One tip could generate thousands of dollars a year in revenue.

We also make sure we spend as much time in classroom training as possible. It’s a great learning experience from top people in the industry. Many of these people are just like you and me. They have just decided to share their experiences with us. The new format introduced at Medtrade Spring 2017, where there is much more interaction with the class is great.

Again, you are hearing what your peers are thinking. Sometimes we think we are being picked on by Medicare or the insurance companies. We think we are the only one who cannot get the proper paperwork from the doctors. We think we are the only ones who get audited, and then we find out this is the norm across the country.

We are not alone in this business, and the best way to really find that out is to come join us at Medtrade. It is well worth the time and money spent. I hope to see you there.
