Medtrade's Continuum of Care and Reimbursement Conferences

For years, an important part of Medtrade Spring and Medtrade has been AAHomecare's "Pre-Conference," commonly known as the Continuum of Care Conference and Reimbursement Conference. This is always held on the day before Medtrade Spring and Medtrade.

For the upcoming Medtrade, the Continuum of Care Conference will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. This will be an intense full-day workshop that will educate business owners and clinicians regarding clinical protocols, operational issues and legal guidelines. At the end of the conference, the attendees will be exhausted, but well-informed. Equally as important, the attendees will earn CEUs/CECs. The Continuum of Care Conference will offer three tracks:
  • Rehabilitation & Assistive Technology, sponsored by Mobility Management
  • Oxygen & Respiratory, sponsored by Respironics, Inc.
  • Sleep-Disordered Breathing, sponsored by ResMed
"Conquering the DME Challenges: Competitive Bidding, Reimbursement and Accreditation" presented by AAHomecare, will also be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

As the Fall of 2008 approaches and competitive bidding seems to be everywhere. AAHomecare would like to invite you to attend an all day pre-Medtrade conference on the three essentials to success in 2008/2009.

Accreditation is mandatory, are you ready? Have you chosen your accrediting body? How are you meeting the standards? It isn't a seal of approval, it is the concrete, documented processes you need to run your business.

Competitive Bidding and Reimbursement - yes they go hand in hand. Regardless of whether you're in a CBA or close to one, the operational processes that you will need to have in place are important. Will you take that oxygen patient that has 6 months left of reimbursement? How do you meet the needs of the referral sources that now need multiple providers? Do you have patients visiting your area that live in a CBA? And most importantly, can you afford to accept the single bid amount for the items you are providing?
